CIVIL/SITE ESTIMATOR - LITTLE ROCK, AR
Job Description
Tradeco Construction is currently seeking a Civil/Site Estimator in Little Rock, AR. The preferred candidate will be responsible for analyzing project plans and specifications to calculate the total cost of a civil construction project, including labor, materials, and equipment, by developing detailed cost estimates, preparing bids, and negotiating with subcontractors to ensure project profitability, all while utilizing specialized software and strong technical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
· Thoroughly reviewing blueprints, specifications, and site conditions to understand the scope of work.
· Accurately calculating the required quantities of materials like concrete, asphalt, and reinforcement steel.
· Determining labor costs, material costs, equipment rental fees, and other associated expenses.
· Compiling cost estimates into a comprehensive bid package, including pricing and project timelines.
· Soliciting quotes from subcontractors and managing vendor relationships.
· Identifying potential risks and contingencies within the project and incorporating them into the cost estimate.
· Utilizing construction estimating software to generate detailed cost breakdowns and reports.
· Presenting cost estimates to clients, addressing questions, and negotiating contract terms.
Qualifications:
· 3 – 5 years experience working as a Civil/Site estimator.
· Experience with ProCore preferred, but not required.
· Thorough understanding of civil construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
· Ability to interpret complex project documents and perform accurate calculations.
· Excellent written and verbal communication to effectively interact with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
· Capacity to identify and address potential issues that could impact project costs.
· Experience in metal building erection a plus, but not required.
