Are you a Civil Estimator with experience in underground utilities who is ready for a stable, long-term opportunity with a company that values your experience, work ethic, and character?
We're looking for an experienced estimator to join our team in Thonotosassa, FL. This is a direct-hire position—not temporary work—offering competitive pay of $43.27–$57.69 per hour, depending on experience.
What You'll Be Estimating
You'll play a key role in pricing and winning commercial civil site development projects, including:
- Water, sewer, and storm drainage systems
- Commercial underground utility projects
- Civil site development and sitework
- Material, labor, subcontractor, and equipment costs
- Project scopes, budgets, and bid packages
Your Day-to-Day
- Review plans, specifications, and bid documents
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs
- Build accurate and competitive project estimates
- Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Analyze site conditions, project risks, and constructability
- Work closely with project managers and operations teams
- Track bid results and help improve estimating strategies
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of civil site development estimating experience
- Strong experience with commercial underground utilities
- Ability to confidently read civil drawings and specifications
- Experience with Agtek, HCSS, Bluebeam, or similar estimating/takeoff software
- Solid understanding of sitework construction
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
Bonus Points For:
- Experience working with general contractors and developers
- Knowledge of local construction pricing and subcontractor networks
- A background in civil engineering or construction management
